More BOOM

First Off, Pen and ink on paper, 2009.

I am trying to make these bigger, but for some reason that is easier said than done. I think the best thing I've heard about this piece came from my sister (she is 28, and has been on heavy pain medication for a few weeks because of a gnarly surgery), "I like it, it makes me wanna eat ice cream." I dug that.

bigger IS better

full frame: 100% crop:

I did it...full frame captures from my scanner camera. It took about one full days worth of work to modify the scanner enough to capture without severely vignetting the image. Now I need to modify the scanner drivers (I think I just got a headache from thinking about that) and the scanner camera body a little. So far though, a huge improvement from what it was...Image size is now a full 5 inch x 5 inch scan (previously it was 2.5 inch square at best) also check out the clarity in the detail on the 100% crop.....STOKED!
